Roll Jordan Roll off to a rocky start....

Decided to get an early start for next week since I realized the book was over 600 pages and I have an additional book to read for the presentation. So far I am a bit skeptical about any argument that may arise. Preface: "out of respect for what I perceive to be the present preference of the majority of the black community" on the subject of what to call "them." Non-black male writing about the slave experience in the 1970s in the tone of an ethnographic study of some foreign people is my perception so far, hopefully in the coming hundreds of pages on the subject I will for, a better opinion of the author.
