Kerbers thesis

After finishing kerber's book I am trying to find her thesis. I liked the book but my question at the end was, so what? She showed us ways women's rights were denied by not bein obligated to do other duties. However, I couldn't find an argument other than we need to look at obligations. Any thoughts on her thesis?

    Alex,

    I thought she was trying to illustrate how white men have kept power through controlling the ideas and actions surrounding manliness and civilization. Although briefly mentioned, I think she is trying to highlight the contradictions of these ideas and help her contemporaries realize and fight against white male supremacy. That is how I took it at least.
